Review

This review applies to version 0.5 The latest version of this software will soon be reviewed by our informers.

Artweaver is a simple freeware tool to draw, create and retouch pictures, it includes all basic artistic effects required to get professional results.
Using a photo as a base to start making adjustments and applying effects "a la photoshop ", Artweaver allows you to enhance the picture, adding different pencils, retouching color or lines to obtain a professional and natural finish.
Thought it is not a Photoshop competitor, Artweaver still have all the traditional tools required to work with images, such as: degrade color, cut, fill and select, in addition to texture, mosaic, blur, sharp and contrast effects.
Artweaver even works with transparencies and layers which is ideal for graphic design and picture retouching enthusiasts that are learning how to use photoshop basic tools but cannot afford to pay a license.
It’s intuitive and user friendly interface will help you learn to use it quickly or almost make no difference if you are a photoshop user, avoiding to have hours in front of your monitor looking and watching tutorials.
Advantages
  • Freeware!
  • Small and quick download.
  • Intuitive and friendly interface.
Disadvantages
  • Lack of plugins.
  • Not updated often.
